This weekend I attended a bridal shower for my friend Summer. It was wonderful to celebrate Summer's upcoming wedding to John, and even more special because Brad and I know both of them pretty well. Essentially we've all worked together at some point over the years (except for me and Summer), and we've enjoyed quite a few double dates! I was proud of myself for putting together a pretty package for my gift to Summer...topped off with a bow and handmade card. I was being crafty!
Several of the ladies at the shower and I started reminiscing about our weddings...which they both attended mine and couldn't believe it'd already been over 5 years! Now we all have had kids, and baby showers. Time does start moving quicker and quicker. But I love weddings and can't wait to go to Summer & John's wedding in November!
Also, last weekend we got together with a good college friend of mine, Melonie, and her sweet family at Chuck E Cheese. This was our first experience as a family with Chuck E Cheese. Well, I went once with my nephews but it'd been a while! Evan wasn't too into the little rides that moved back and forth...he got bored. But he loved the little play area and slide. And boy did he love the pizza! I think he ate more slices then I did. Melonie and I are hoping we will be able to make getting together a more regular thing...but you know how it is with kids (and work for me).

Evan loves slides! And check out his cute shoes - I think this may be the last time he'll be wearing them. :( They are getting a bit hard to velcro on his pudgy feet.
